How to create email with your own domain
Create a branded address on a domain you own, without moving your website.
1. Bring a domain you own
Register or use an existing domain. Email service does not include domain registration. Inspect its current MX records before changing mail providers; an MX change affects the domain’s other email addresses.
2. Verify domain ownership
Sign in, add your product name and domain, then publish the displayed _simpleremail TXT record. Run Verify DNS. Your website A and CNAME records stay with your website host.
3. Activate receiving and sending
Get email DNS records from the domain setup page. Publish the displayed MX, DKIM and return-path records, then check and activate email. DNS ownership alone does not activate delivery.
4. Choose addresses and forwarding
Start with support@, then add named addresses such as hello@ or billing@ after activation. Forwarding to your verified main inbox is optional and off by default. Catch-all is separate from forwarding and accepts unlisted recipients only when enabled.
5. Test the complete conversation
Use a different external inbox to send a message and attachment to your product address. Check Product mail. If forwarding is enabled, confirm the copy arrived. Reply on the website and check the external inbox. Provider acceptance alone does not confirm arrival.
Know the free allowance
The free plan supports 10 domains sharing 100 email operations per UTC month. Receiving, forwarding and replying each count once. One incoming message plus a forward and reply uses three operations. Domain registration is separate; IMAP, POP3 and direct branded replies inside Gmail are not included.
